Set Up Webex Calling

Overview

Webex Calling allows you to make calls from your iPad, Laptop, or personal cell phone from locations away from your desk.  This may be helpful for eLearning days when you need to contact a parent.  This article will walk you through how to set up your device to make and receive calls.

Instructions for iPad and iPhone

  1. Download the App for your device.  Make sure to select “Webex” not “Webex Meetings” or any of the other Webex options.
  2. Tap Sign in
  3. Enter your EACS email address
    1. Tap Next
  4. You will be redirected to a Microsft Log in screen
  5. Enter your EACS email address again
    1. Tap Next
  6. Enter your password
    1. Tap Sign in
  7. You will be asked if you want to Allow Webex to Access the Microphone
    1. Tap Allow
  8. You will be asked if you want to Allow Webex to Send Notifications
    1. Tap Allow
  9. Tap your avatar in the upper left corner
  10. Tap Phone service
  11. Enter your username (not email address) and password
    1. Tap Sign in
  12. It will take a couple minutes to self provision your account.  After it creates your calling account, it will give you a notification about Emergency Calling.  The message is a warning that using a mobile device to call 911 may report the incorrect address of your location.
  13. Under the Phone Services section, it should now show that the Phone Service and Voicemail Service are both Connected
  14. Go back to your main screen
  15. At the bottom there is an option for Calling
  16. At the top, there are 10 dots for your number pad
  17. You can call internal numbers by dialing the regular 4 digit number.  If you are making an outside call, you will still need to dial an “8” first.

 

Instructions for Android

  1. Download the App for your device.  Make sure to select “Webex” not “Webex Meetings” or any of the other Webex options.
  2. Tap Sign in
  3. Enter your EACS email address
    1. Tap Next

  5. Enter your EACS email address again
    1. Tap Next
  6. Enter your password
    1. Tap Sign in
  7. You will be asked if you want to Allow Webex to Access the Microphone
    1. Tap Allow
  8. You will be asked if you want to Allow Webex to Find Nearby Device
    1. Tap either Allow or Deny this option does not matter with our current environment
  9. You will be asked if you want to Allow Webex to Make and Manage Phone Calls
    1. Tap Allow
  10. Tap your avatar in the upper left corner
  11. Tap Phone service
  12. Enter your username (not email address) and password
    1. Tap Sign in

  1. Open the ZENworks Application Window
  2. Double click on Webex to install
  3. Click Sign in
  4. Enter your EACS email address
    1. Click Next
  5. Click your avatar in the upper left corner
  6. Click Settings
  7. Click Phone Service
  8. Enter your username (not email address) and password
    1. Click Sign in

  10. Under the Status section, it should now show that the Phone Service and Voicemail Service are both Connected
  11. Click Save
  12. At the left side there is a Phone icon for Calling
  13. You can call internal numbers by dialing the regular 4 digit number.  If you are making an outside call, you will still need to dial an “8” first.
  14. Note: The ringer and alerts volume defaults to the loudest setting.  To adjust the setting follow these steps:
    1. Click on your avatar in the upper left corner
    2. Click on Settings
    3. Click Audio
    4. Adjust the Volume level under Ringers and alerts
    5. Click Save
