- Ensure that the HP Click software is installed on your computer. If the software is not installed or you are unsure, please contact the Help Desk at extension 4357. A building technician will assign the software to you as well as add the required poster printer.
- Open HP Click and this is the program that will open.
- When printing from this software, all documents need to be PDFs. If you're trying to print something that is not a PDF, it will need to be converted. Printing PDFs allows this software to print full sized posters without much configuration and is much easier than other file formats.
- Click and drag the PDF that you'd like to print into the program window and it will be loaded into the software. You can also click in the window that says “Add files” and navigate to the location of your desired file.
- On the left side of the window after you add a file, you'll see each page that has been loaded into the program. In the lower right corner of each page, click on the three dots as shown.
- The first option from the top looks like a rectangle with a bidirectional arrow. Select this option. This is where we will change the sizing so the document fills all available space on the page.
- Select which option you'd like. You'll see a print preview on the right. The black bar at the bottom represents the output slot of the poster printer so keep that in mind as a size reference. I'd recommend sticking to “Fit to source landscape/portrait” as this will fill all available space in either the landscape or portrait orientation.
