Older Email Is Not In Outlook Client

Sometime it may appear that not all your email in in your Outlook Desktop Client, but you know it should be in your mailbox, it may even show up in the Web Client.  The reason for this is that by default, the desktop client only syncs 1 year of email from the server.  This article will walk you through syncing everything to the desktop client.

Outlook Desktop Client


  1. Open the Outlook Desktop Client
  2. Click File
  3. Click Account Settings
  4. Click Account Name and Sync Settings
  5. Drag the "Download email for the past:" to the requested time period.  If you want all of your email to sync, drag it to the far right so that is says "All"
  6. Click Next
  7. Click Done

It will take some time for everything else to download into the client.
