The reading pane is a part of the screen that will display the email so that users do not need to double click to open an email and then close the window.  This article will show you where you can change the settings of the Reading Pane.

Outlook Desktop Client

  1. Click "View"
  2. Click "Layout"
  3. Click "Reading Pane"
  4. Select your option
    1. Right
    2. Bottom
    3. Off


Outlook Web Client

  1. Click on the settings cogwheel
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Under Reading pane select your option
    1. Show on the right
    2. Show on the bottom
    3. Hide
